Simply Delicious Ice Cream and Intentional August

Today's post was going to be different then what is in my heart right now.  So we'll go with my heart!  A good friend Lara Casey, comes up with a theme each month.  They are really motivational and sometimes it's just the thing you need to say to yourself to keep going.  This month is Intentional August, you can see her explanation on Instagram.  That came at just the right day for me, thanks Lara!

My heart breaks for a family in Bowling Green that are mourning the loss of a daughter and sister.  She was only 27 years old and was in the wedding industry.  I knew of her and even have spoke to her on the phone a few times but I didn't know her personally.  I didn't know her heart and where she was with her faith.  I can't get over the fact that I could have called her and asked her to coffee.  Even though she was pretty much a stranger to me, she wasn't a stranger to Jesus.  One of my new favorite verses says just that Matthew 25:40  Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’

I am going to be more intentional with the people I call my friends and with strangers I pass.  Lara has a hash tag #intentionalaugust, so if you are going to try to be intentional in any area of your life post pictures and use the hash tag.

The initial post for today was to tell you about a delicious new 'ice cream' that I love making.  And it's very simple, only 1 ingredient!  Simply cut up a ripe banana (the riper the better) and put in a zip lock bag and in the freezer.  When it is good and frozen put the pieces in a food processor and turn it on.  After about 60 seconds you'll see what I mean!  I've only done it a couple of times but next time I'm going to add some frozen blackberries and really I'm sure there are tons of add ins you can try.  If you do a new one be sure to let me know!  I'm all about healthy stuff that tastes like it's not healthy stuff!
